The Lambrou family created Kumílio in 2015. Kostas Lambrou is the family’s link to Kymi – the “Balcony of the Aegean” – where he was born and raised. A fertile place, in which history gave a special cultural imprint and which is a source of inspiration for the family. This strong relationship combined with their love for the fig, the most valuable local product, led them to the decision to create Kumílio as a medium to convey their perception of nature, their place, tradition and community. Today they manage around 1,000 fig trees in Kaddi tis Kymi, where they also maintain a small sorting and processing unit.
